it is depressing that a large portion of the folks most excited about AI also lack the creative drive and human warmth to conceive of using it for anything more exotic than “please simulate being a stock market expert and then give me all the stock market tips you know”

a billion tutorials about how to use new AI tools and they all center around example prompts like “make me rich” it’s so. ah not to dehumanize but maybe some of us have been machines for a good long while already
